James Marks Lawyer in Chicago Illinois

As a Chicago lawyer, I have concentrated my entire career in business litigation. This includes business ownership and accounting disputes, construction and mechanic's lien litigation, trade secrets and unfair competition disputes, mortgage foreclosures and loan modifications, probate litigation, claims involving the Uniform Commercial Code, distributor disputes, and collections. I have tried cases in federal and state court in Illinois and other jurisdictions, and arbitrations before the AAA and JAMS.

In addition, I have extensive experience representing physicians, home health agencies and other health care providers in reimbursement claims against private payors, billing companies and claims for and against the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and the Illinois Departments of Public Health and Public Aid. I have also represented providers involving restrictive covenants, practice dissolution, accounting actions, theft of patient information and other business disputes involving health care practices.

In all of these matters, I place a primary emphasis on personally handling the case and getting cost effective results --- judgment or settlement --- and collecting on your judgment, as quickly as possible. My commitment is to be available --- with no filter of support staff or associate lawyers --- and to help you use the law to achieve your business goals.
